Oil paintings, and figurative painting in general, are, in my view, one of the most powerful ways to express oneself and convey an idea through something as simple as brushstrokes and colour. Impressionist painting, in particular, carries an added sense of everyday life and tranquillity. It evokes the simplicity of ordinary moments and, to me, a genuine love for painting itself. Quick brushstrokes capture a fleeting moment, a feeling, or a specific combination of colours.
